The Lancer L5-20’s design incorporates the same impact resistant translucent polymer body, hardened steel feed lips and rubber coated bottom found on the original L5.

Included in the L5-20’s design is a number of user recommended changes; the magazine well stop has been replaced with a lower profile support rib. The new rib makes the L5-20 easier to get out of magazine pouches and allows the magazine to be utilized with the H&K 416 and SA80. The bottom of the magazine’s body has been reinforced to improve bottom retention.
